For those of you living under a rock lately, Twilight is the new "it" book series to read & last night was the premiere of the Twilight movie! Robin & I have been anxiously awaiting this night for months & months, & it finally came! Last night we attended the midnight showing of the premiere & were just giddy the whole night! I think we both felt like teenage girls again!
It all started when Robin came over early to have a drink before the show. I had flavored Martini mixes & she brought over the new Martini glasses she purchased for this occasion! Needless to say, they were RED & so were our Martinis. . . we were sticking to the "Twilight/Vampire" theme here. . . just not quite so goth! As soon as Ellis walked in the door from work, we walked out & headed to stand in line. . . thankfully we didn't have to stand there long because the theater we were in was already seating. We got there an hour & a half before the move started & there were very few seats left! Thankfully we weren't on the front row! But the movie finally started & we were in awe the whole time & left the theater on a "Twilight high" - it was great! Like all movies made from books, there were many important parts left out & you didn't always get the true feelings from the characters, but they did a great job still! It was great & we're planning on going back again, when it's quiet & not so many teenage girls giggling & oohing & aahing. . . but the whole experience of the midnight showing is so fun! It's was Robin's first midnight experience & I'm so glad we got to go. . . we're already planning the next one - the new Harry Potter movie coming out in July!
