Thursday when we got out of school we went to Bahama Mama's. . . the local sno-cone stand that we became regular customers to last summer! The kids & I quickly became sno-cone addicts last year going at least 2x a week thru Halloween when they closed. Ever since they closed, we've been counting down the days until they opened back up. . . April 1st! So of course, opening day there we were! Then that night we went to dinner at one of our favorite mexican food places, Vida Loca, w/ my co-worker Kara & her kids. Her son Tico is in Chase's class at school & she has a daughter a little bit older than Rylie.
Friday was a busy day! We met Robin, Kristin & Brandon at the barn park for lunch & playtime. We don't see as much of them as we'd like to these days. . . we're all counting down till summer though so we can see each other just about daily! Then the kids & I did a little shopping, made another trip to Bahama Mama's, then went the the AMAZING Good Friday service at our church! It was phenomenal!
Saturday I took the kids to their favorite, Mr. Donut, for breakfast, then we went to see "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" - such a cute movie! Then we went to a local park for another picnic. The weather was GORGEOUS!!!! That afternoon we dyed our Easter eggs, told the story of the resurrection using Resurrection Eggs & by also making Resurrection Rolls together. The kids loved it all! That night we had movie night together complete w/ homemade pizza.
Sunday started off w/ breakfast at Kosmos, then church. We met up w/ Robin & the kids for lunch at Spring Creek then came home to wait for Ellis. Once he got off, it was game on for the kids! Ellis hid the eggs & they got the much-anticipated Easter baskets full of goodies! It was a great weekend full of fun! I can't wait for another one! :)
